Our Range… We
make wines under 6 different appellations :
AOC
Cotes de Bergerac Rouge and AOC
Bergerac Rouge, made from three red varieties,
Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
AOC
Bergerac Rosé, made from cabernet franc
and from cabernet sauvignon, we make our rosés
using the saignée method, “bleeding
off” the juice from under the cap during
the fermentation process.
AOC
Bergerac Blanc Sec,
made from Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle.
AOC
Sweet Cotes de Bergerac,
made from Semillon and from Muscadelle.
AOC
Monbazillac, made
by blending Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle.
Harvesting is manual by successive pickings, taking
only those grapes which have been affected by the
fungus Botrytis Cinéréa
also called “pourriture noble” - “Noble
rot”.
This forms on the bunches thanks to
morning mists from the River Dordogne, and a sunny
Indian summer.
